Welcome to the new look Rebel Racing Website.  The old format was created using a old peice of software which to say the least didn't make the site look or feel in the 2009's...  Hopefully you'll agree that the new site has much more to offer.   Needless to say we will endeavour to support the old site for at least a year whilst it's better bits (pics/videos etc) are incorporated into this site.

Enough about the technical aspect let's get into what's happening Rebel Racing wise....  also watch out for the news archive which will follow.

As with any motorsport it costs money to go racing.  We appreciate that there is a credit crunch on (some more than others) but despite the best efforts of the current government we will be here in 2009.

This is mostly because of the support given by our key sponsor (blood, time, money and sweat all contributed).

Also thanks to the technical contribution from INitPRO ltd without which this site would not be possible.

Mendips Model Racing
Winter Series
Meeting 1.  November 2nd 2008

Unfortunately the British weather being what it is and the fact that this meeting coincided with a certain Brazilian Grand Prix meant that the latest excursion onto tarmac was cancelled.  Just as well really as post practice our Mercedes gave up the ghost and was returned to the garage for some much needed attention (where's that hammer).

The Start of 2008 testing in the Mendips.  A first for the Manta out on the black stuff.

All alone in the first session didn't push to hard.  That fin makes a difference and by the time the engine had warmed up the lap times were falling.

Unfortunately the day ended early a little damp patch on the track led to a visit to the wall!

Testing March 2008 - Mendips Home of Thunder in the Hills

Shaun Baker (270) has moved onto the hard stuff... from grassing,  Racing at both Smeatharpe (Autospeed) and Mendips in the Rookie/banger Stox classes.  Despite some great driving he has suffered from more than his fair share of car realiability issues.   With this in mind he's planning on moving into unlimited bangers in the New Year with a couple of large old battle tanks ready for a crunching.

Watch this space for news of his antics.... and build updates of course.

The first of the 2009 dates are available...
